The North Sound, Greater Eastside and South Sound Ostomy Support Groups invite you to attend their Ostomy Awareness Day celebration and Vendor Fair. The event will take place on Saturday, October 7th from 1 to 4pm Pacific Time at the EvergreenHealth Surgery and Physician Pavilion, TAN Building, Room 101, in Kirkland, Washington. Meet members from the local support groups and connect with ostomy manufacturers and learn about their ostomy products. There will also be three guest speakers, Laura Vadman, RN, CWON, Eva Philippe, RN, CWON and Sarah Biggart with Convatec Me+, Ostomy Secrets. Laura will speak about Peristomal Misadventures, Eva will discuss Safely Exercising with an Ostomy and Sarah will tell her “My Ostomy, My Lifesaver” personal story. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet UOAA’s President, Cheryl Ory, RN, BSN, as Cheryl will be joining us at the event as well. An ‘Ask-the-Nurse’ Station will be available along with Educational Materials and Resources. Light refreshments will also be served.
